Make up your mid today and get out of debt. Say no to borrowing for life. Say no to that lure to borrow for settling a problem. Problem has a way of settling itself, by simply fizzling out!
Here are some useful tips to follow and be out of debt for life.
1. Learn the principle of saying no to loan either a free loan and covered loan! The book of Proverbs (KJV BIBLE) 22:7 says a debtor is slave to a creditor. (Paraphrased).
2. Are you married? Then cut down on family expenses:
a. Try preparing some food at instead of eating out.
b. Try raw food stuff e.g. vegetables and meat and cook rather than canned food, because it is cost effective to do so. A canned food may contain some preservatives chemicals that may cause other health hazards to your body, which will definitely bring about spending on medicals.
c. Buy used items: clothes, shoes, bags, e.t.c. instead of new ones for regular use.
d. Sell off any un-useful appliance(s) in the house immediately before it loses it original value or become scrap.
e. Cut down on lighting by putting off the light when not in use.
f. Learn to say no to incessancy: unnecessary demands by family members.
g. Save something for the future, even if it small!
h. Budget your income before your pay day.
i. If you are occupying a duplex with un-used rooms try sub-renting a space to another person. It helps cut down on the rent.
3. Participate in cooperative society or a self-help group. You could think of forming one too.
4. Share your problems with trusted friends and let them know you need their advice.
